'Stacked glasses' is made up of acrylic painted paper cuts.
Although this process is long and rather fiddly compared with painting directly on the canvas, I love the freedom of being able to move my compositions around. It also creates a wonderful surface dimension and texture.

This is another piece where I'm working to create a sense of space despite the small wood panel size! Employing glasses as my subject for the translucency and sense of space is a common theme in my work.

It's small size makes it perfect for sitting upon a shelf or small space.
